About Us

Cloverleaf Advocacy is an independent charity that has been helping people ‘be heard’ since 1995. We provide free and confidential person-centered advocacy services for people with mental ill-health, people with learning disabilities, people with physical or sensory impairments, people with acquired brain injury, older people, and carers. This includes self-advocacy and peer support.

Everyone has a right to speak up for themselves, especially when it is about their health, care, and wellbeing.

Not everyone can do this easily. Some may face barriers like communication difficulties, mental ill-health or a lack of confidence in speaking up. We give people a voice when they find it difficult to express their views and ensure that decisions about them are made with them.

We are proud to have a team of more than 100 highly trained advocates available across the North of England. In the last thirty years, we have supported over 10,000 people per year across 17 local authority areas to have their voices heard about things that matter to them.

We are dedicated to empowering people by providing the support and guidance they need to navigate complex situations. We help people access reliable information, ensuring they understand their rights and can make informed decisions. Our team works closely with people to explore their options, offering tailored support that meets their unique needs. We also advocate for those who may struggle to have their voices heard, encouraging them to speak up about the issues that matter most to them.
