Carers Count
If you give unpaid time or energy to look after a family member or friend in Kirklees, then Carers Count can support you. We provide information, advice, advocacy, support and run carers groups. We also run a specialist service for carers of people with mental health needs and/or drug and alcohol addiction. For more information view the Carers Count website.
Kirklees Involvment Network
We support the Kirklees Involvement Network which is a self-advocacy network for people with a learning disability in Kirklees. We hold regular groups to help people be involved, speak up and make a difference. We also provide training and an Easy Read checking/writing service.
Safe Places
We run the Safe Places scheme in Kirklees. A Safe Place is a shop, business or public building where you can go if you need help to contact a friend or carer if you are out and feel unsafe.
The best way to use Kirklees Safe Places is to join by completing the online form.

Kirklees Advocacy Hub
Our Advocacy Hub offers free, independent, advocacy to people aged 18+ living in Kirklees, including:

- Care Act Advocacy
- Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy (IHCA)
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
