Cloverleaf announces its second Be Heard Conference for people with learning disabilities

20/09/2024

We’re delighted to announce that, following a brilliant first event in 2022, our Be Heard Conference for people with learning disabilities is returning this November.

Developed with the valued input of our self-advocates and staff with lived experience, Be Heard is a conference designed and delivered by and for people with learning disabilities.

This year’s conference, themed ‘Belonging’, is a chance for people with learning disabilities from across the north of England to get together, meet others with similar life experiences and make their voices heard. With interactive workshops from the Dark Horse Theatre Company, artistic self-expression sessions and a group sing-along-sign-along, Be Heard 2024 will be a day of celebration, learning and fun!

Held at the accessible Cedar Court Hotel in Bradford on the 12th of November, we have a limited number of free places still available for those who would like to attend.

We also have a range of sponsorship opportunities for any professional bodies or organisations that would like to support the event – joining The National Lottery Community Fund as our valued supporters.

If you would like to find out more about the Be Heard conference and how to get involved, please email: enquiries@cloverleaf-advocacy.co.uk

To help make the day as special as possible, we are also running a fundraiser. If you would like to donate towards conference costs, please visit: Cloverleaf Advocacy: Belonging Learning Disability Conference (enthuse.com)

Any amount, however small, will make a huge difference in helping us give those we support a true conference experience.
