Cloverleaf Advocacy wins new contract to provide Carer Support Services in Calderdale

30/08/2024

We are proud to announce that following a highly competitive tender process, beginning 1st September, Cloverleaf has been awarded a new three-year contract to manage and deliver Calderdale’s free-to-access carer support service. This achievement is a testament to our commitment to providing high-quality support for unpaid carers across the region, and we are excited to extend our services to the Calderdale community.

Cloverleaf already supports carers in Barnsley through Barnsley Carers Service, and in Kirklees and Lancashire through our Carers Count services. The service we are delivering in Calderdale will become part of our successful group of Carers Count services, enabling us to reach and support more carers across the North of England when they need us most.

Joanne Green, Operations Director for Carers services said: “This new contract in Calderdale marks an exciting chapter for Cloverleaf. We are dedicated to building strong relationships with local carers and ensuring they feel supported and valued. By integrating this service into our existing network, we can offer even more tailored support and resources that truly make a difference in the lives of unpaid carers.”

Suzi Henderson, Cloverleaf CEO, said: “We are thrilled to extend our support to carers in Calderdale. Our goal is to build on the excellent work done by Making Space and ensure that every carer in Calderdale has access to the resources and support they require. We look forward to working closely with the local community and continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of unpaid carers.”

It’s estimated that 21,369 people currently give their time and energy to caring for a loved one in Calderdale. These individuals play a crucial role in the wellbeing of their families and communities, often facing immense challenges as they balance their caregiving responsibilities with their personal lives. At Cloverleaf, we understand the dedication and sacrifices of these carers, and we are here to provide the support they need to thrive.

We are committed to enhancing and expanding the existing resources to improve the quality of life for local unpaid carers. Our services will continue to include information and advice, carer training, benefits advice, and a full range of wellbeing events and initiatives.
