Know your human rights!
By sharing the knowledge of our human rights with our friends, family and the communities we live in, we can all help to create a fairer, more equal, society.
Knowing your rights also helps protect you from being mistreated, taken advantage of, or forced into a situation you are not comfortable or happy with. This is especially important when dealing with decisions that have an impact on your mental or physical health and wellbeing.
There are some excellent resources online to help you to understand your rights, including:
- The British Institute of Human Rights
- Equality and Human Rights Commission
- Citizens Advice
