Stress Awareness Month 2023
April marks Stress Awareness Month. It’s a time to raise awareness of the causes of stress and what we can do to reduce its impact on us; a time for us to have an open conversation about our mental and emotional state with friends, families, colleagues, and professionals.
This year, the Stress Management Society is focussing on encouraging people and organisations to act and create a positive change; to do something to make things better. They have lots of advice and free resources, including tips about eating for well-being and learning to say no.
Research has shown it takes 30 days to turn actions into habits. The Stress Management Society has developed a 30-day challenge for April, encouraging us to pick one action each day to support our mental and emotional wellbeing. This in turn maximises the chances of turning knowledge and techniques into positive behavioural change.
