What I'm reading and listening to this month - March
28/03/2023
We all know that reading and listening to music is good for the soul!
We’re big lovers of the written word and a good old hum-a-long here at Cloverleaf, so we’ve asked our colleagues to share what’s getting their earbuds buzzing and sparking their word-nerdiness at the minute...
This is what Diane is up to…
I’ve always got a book on the go – I can’t remember a time when I haven’t enjoyed reading. At the moment, it’s ‘Troubled Blood’ by Robert Galbraith, aka J. K. Rowling. I’m working my way through this Cormoran Strike series; they are so well written and the developing relationship between the two lead characters is fascinating. I do love a good detective novel, though why I choose to round off my day reading about murder and misery is something I don’t want to dwell on too much…!
Whereas I’m always on the lookout for new books, and very often buy them when they’ve just been released, my taste in music harps back to my past! I feel I should listen to what’s around currently, but always end up returning to tunes that trigger memories. Joni Mitchell’s ‘Blue’ is a constant companion in my car – ‘A Case of You’ and ‘California’ – though my enthusiasm might be more admired than my voice when I’m singing along!
