What I'm reading and listening to this month - May

We all know that reading and listening to music is good for the soul!
We’re big lovers of the written word and a good old hum-a-long here at Cloverleaf, so we’ve asked our colleagues to share what’s getting their earbuds buzzing and sparking their word-nerdiness at the minute...
This is what Sam has to say…
I tend to have multiple books on the go at any time:
· On my Kindle app I have just finished reading The Skeleton Key by Erin Kelly – a very modern fiction book about a family that themselves wrote a book a number of years earlier based around a mystery and clues that the public could follow; that book achieved a cult following, to the detriment of some of the family members. Hard to describe – but a really good read.
· My current “bath book” is The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. This is a story of teenagers fighting cancer together – which sounds an awful read but is actually a very light and interesting story. I have 40 pages or one long bath left!!
· I am about to start my next Kindle app read - The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. I read her first novel The Night Circus a few years ago and loved it – the secret world of the night circus taking me back to the daydreams I had when I was a kid. I have been putting off starting this book in case it isn’t as good …
I don’t tend to listen to music. I do listen to podcasts whenever I am doing jobs or running – and the podcasts are mainly running-related. I also listen to Newscast and Americast – both short podcasts that provide an update or view on the big news items in a way that is informative but not dull or too long!
