Talking Lincs awarded funding to help people build stronger, healthier lives

Published: 01/05/2026

We’re delighted to announce that our Talking Lincs self‑advocacy service has been awarded £1,968 by Ongo Homes to deliver our Stronger Lives project in North Lincolnshire.

Talking Lincs is a self‑advocacy service that supports autistic people and people with learning disabilities, ADHD and mental ill health, as well as unpaid carers, to develop the confidence and skills to speak up for themselves. Through monthly meetings, members come together to talk about the issues that matter most to them and to raise awareness of their needs, helping ensure the services and support they need meets their needs.

Many of our Talking Lincs members experience social isolation and a lack of opportunities to build confidence, friendships and independence. Stronger Lives will help address these issues by providing quarterly wellbeing workshops and social activities designed to help build confidence, develop skills and create friendships and community connections.

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Ongo Homes for supporting this project and helping us improve wellbeing, independence and social inclusion for people using Talking Lincs.
