We’re pleased to announce Cloverleaf has been successful in retaining the contract to deliver the Talking Lincs Self-Advocacy Service in North Lincolnshire. We’ve delivered the service since 2014, and the new contract will run from 1st October 2025 until 30th June 2028.
Changes to the service
For many years, Talking Lincs has brought people with learning disabilities together to build strong self-advocacy groups and make sure their voices are heard. We’re proud of what’s been achieved so far – and now, we’re ready to take the next step.
From October, our work will grow to include other groups who face barriers to getting their voices heard. Our goal, however, of ensuring everyone is listened to and respected, especially when it comes to decisions about health, social care, and community life, will remains the same.
Who will we be working with?
Self-advocacy is powerful. It helps shape services and support, ensuring it reflect what people truly want and need. And that’s exactly what we’ll keep working towards, engaging with a wide range of local providers, voluntary groups and communities to understand whose voices aren’t being heard.
Based on what we know through or current Talking Lincs contract, we will initially focus on creating self-advocacy opportunities for:
Autistic people and those with ADHD
People who are neurodiverse
Unpaid carers
Young people facing barriers to inclusion
People experiencing mental ill-health
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning. We’ll keep listening, learning, and adapting to meet local needs.
Joanne Green, Director of Self-Advocacy, Carers, and Inclusion Services, said:
“At Cloverleaf, we believe everyone deserves the chance to be heard – especially those who may not always get that opportunity. Expanding Talking Lincs is an exciting step forward. We’ve seen how life-changing self-advocacy can be, and we’re looking forward to supporting even more people across North Lincolnshire to speak up and influence the decisions that matter most to them.”
