Service Manager – North Yorkshire
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,760 FTE
Location: homebased covering North Yorkshire
This is a Fixed Term post for 12 month. The role will start April 2026
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our advocacy service in North Yorkshire. We offer flexible working hours Monday to Friday. There is no shift work, and we do not work evenings or weekends. Please note, this role does not involve supporting people with their personal care.
About the job:
As Service Manager you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the delivery of our advocacy services in North Yorkshire. This will include supervision and coordination of the staff team. This post has the specific responsibility for the IMHA, IMCA, RPR and Care Act provision in North Yorkshire. You will ensure that our services are provided effectively according to statutory and contractual requirements. You will be able to lead the service in a manner which embodies the values and culture of our organisation. The successful person will have experience of managing teams and a passion for delivering outstanding services.
The role will involve providing face-to-face support with people and supporting people at meetings with professionals across North Yorkshire. You will be helping people to understand the information that is being shared with them and be involved in planning their future care and support.
For people who lack capacity to make specific decisions about where they live or medical treatment, you will be obtaining and sharing a person’s views with health or social care professionals involved in making best interest decisions on their behalf.
This role includes supporting people of all ages. You will be working with people with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical and sensory impairment, people with an acquired brain injury and those with a mental health need.
